Slovakia's entry into the European Single Market, along with the removal of customs formalities, led to the abolition of customs controls. The Single Administrative Document (SAD), which served as a source of data for the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, was replaced by a new system for collecting statistical data between EU member states, known as INTRASTAT-SK.
Reporting to INTRASTAT is a monthly obligation for companies transporting goods within the EU that exceed the reporting thresholds in these countries. It is also used as a control for VAT operations.
CARGO GROUP SLOVAKIA s.r.o. offers you a complete service for reporting and filing in the INTRASTAT-SK system. In addition to standard trade in goods within the EU, we also handle the reporting of special cases in INTRASTAT-SK declarations:
The exemption threshold for 2024 (the reference year) is the same for both imports and exports of goods within the EU and is set at 1,000,000 EUR. However, for entities operating in the agriculture and food sectors, the exemption thresholds remain at 200,000 EUR for imports of goods within the EU and 400,000 EUR for exports of goods within the EU. Lower exemption thresholds apply to entities listed in the register of organizations of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, whose main activity according to SK NACE includes:
